Mandarin Fireworks Team Building Trip to Guizhou: Five Days of Scenery, Food and Laughter

From August 18 to 22, 2026, the Mandarin Fireworks team took a five-day, four-night team-building trip to Guizhou, China.

Leaving behind our busy work routines, we traveled from Changsha to Guiyang, Liupanshui and Moutai Town, exploring historic towns, museums, waterfalls, forests and highland grasslands along the way.

For us, this trip was more than a vacation. It was a chance to step away from the daily routine, spend time with colleagues, strengthen communication and create new memories together.

The scenery was the background, and laughter was the main theme.

Our Guizhou journey began on August 18 with a high-speed train from Changsha South Railway Station to Guiyang North Railway Station.

After arriving in Guiyang, our first destination was Qingyan Ancient Town, one of the best-known historic towns in Guizhou.

Walking through its traditional streets and historic buildings, we experienced the distinctive atmosphere of this ancient town. Of course, exploring Guizhou also means enjoying its local food, so we stopped for lunch and tried one of Qingyan's famous specialties — Qingyan pork trotters.

After lunch, we headed to Qianling Mountain Park.

Surrounded by lush greenery, the park offered a refreshing escape from the city. One of the biggest surprises of the afternoon was meeting the lively monkeys in the park. Their playful behavior brought plenty of laughter and quickly became one of the most memorable moments of the day.

In the evening, we visited Jiaxiu Tower, a landmark of Guiyang.

As night fell, the lights along the Nanming River created a beautiful cityscape around the historic tower. We enjoyed the night view, took photos and shared stories from our first day together.

Qingyan for the food, Qianling Mountain for the monkeys, and Jiaxiu Tower for the night view — our Guizhou adventure was off to a great start.

On August 19, we started the day at the Guizhou Provincial Museum.

The museum provided an opportunity to learn more about Guizhou's history, natural environment, ethnic cultures and regional heritage.

For our team, traveling is not only about seeing beautiful scenery. It is also about discovering the history and culture behind the places we visit.

In the afternoon, we left Guiyang and traveled to Liupanshui, continuing our journey into the mountainous landscapes of western Guizhou.

After arriving, we explored Shuicheng Ancient Town and enjoyed a hearty local meal together.

A warm bowl of Liupanshui beef and mutton hot pot was the perfect way to end the day.

Good food, relaxed conversations and plenty of laughter made the evening especially enjoyable.

August 20 was a day dedicated to nature.

In the morning, we visited Guoquan Rock Waterfall, surrounded by mountains and greenery.

Walking through the natural landscape, we listened to the sound of flowing water, enjoyed the fresh mountain air and took in the peaceful scenery.

It was a welcome change from the fast pace of everyday work.

After the waterfall visit, we continued to Wumeng Grassland.

Located in the highlands of Liupanshui, Wumeng Grassland offered wide-open views of mountains, grasslands and clouds. The expansive landscape gave everyone plenty of opportunities to take photos, chat and simply enjoy the moment.

From listening to waterfalls to chasing clouds, we experienced another side of Guizhou's natural beauty.

That evening, we stayed at a local guesthouse on Wumeng Grassland.

Away from the city, everyone had more time to relax and share stories from the trip. These informal moments of conversation helped colleagues connect beyond their usual work roles.

On August 21, we continued our journey through Guizhou's natural and cultural landscapes.

Our first stop was Yushe National Forest Park, where we spent the morning surrounded by lush forests and mountain scenery.

We then visited Haiping Yi Ethnic Town, experiencing the distinctive local architecture and ethnic culture.

In the afternoon, we traveled toward Moutai Town.

As we approached the town along the Chishui River, the landscape gradually changed from forests and mountains to the unique cultural atmosphere associated with Chinese baijiu.

After several days surrounded by nature, our journey was entering a new chapter — from mountain scenery to Chinese wine culture.

August 22 was the final day of our Guizhou trip.

We visited the China Wine Culture City, where we learned more about the history and cultural traditions of Chinese baijiu.

We then visited several local landmarks, including 1915 Square, the Giant Broken Wine Jar and Red Army Bridge.

These places offered a glimpse into the history and cultural identity of Moutai Town, adding a meaningful cultural dimension to the final day of our journey.

After five days and four nights, our Guizhou trip came to an end.

In the evening, we traveled from Zunyi back to Changsha by high-speed train.

Over five days, we visited ancient towns, museums, waterfalls, forests, highland grasslands and historic sites.

We enjoyed Qingyan pork trotters, tasted Liupanshui beef and mutton hot pot, experienced the landscapes of Wumeng Grassland and explored the unique culture of Moutai Town.

But the most valuable part of the trip was not any single destination.

It was the time we spent together.

At Mandarin Fireworks, we believe that a strong team is built not only through working together, but also through shared experiences beyond the workplace.

A team-building trip gives colleagues the opportunity to step away from their daily routines, communicate in a relaxed environment, understand one another better and strengthen the trust that supports effective teamwork.

For us, this trip was a reminder that great teamwork is built through both professional collaboration and shared experiences.

The mountains and rivers of Guizhou will remain in our memories, along with the conversations, photos and laughter we shared along the way.
