Complete Firing Operation Process for 3M 30S Cold Stage Fountain Fireworks

The 3-meter, 30-second cold stage fountain fireworks is a type of cold pyrotechnic fountain product that reaches a height of 3 meters and has a burn time of 30 seconds. It is ignited using an electric igniter, requires no open flame, and emits sparks at a low temperature, offering high safety. Our Mandarin Fireworks cold-flame fountain fireworks combine premium materials with unique craftsmanship, truly achieving a completely smokeless and odorless experience! It is widely used in weddings, stage performances, grand openings, and other indoor or semi-outdoor events, creating a dazzling yet safe visual effect. To ensure the display effect and the safety of all personnel on site, all operators must strictly follow the procedures below.

Pre-Operation Preparation

1. Product Inspection
Each cold sparkle fountain must be carefully inspected before use:

Ensure the packaging is intact, without damage, leakage, moisture, or signs of dampness.

Check the product appearance to confirm that the manufacturer’s information, ignition instructions, and safety warnings are clearly marked.

Key check: Gently shake the product. If you hear any loose soil or foreign objects rattling inside, do not use the product.

2. Site and Environment Check

Ensure the ignition area is away from flammable materials such as foam, ribbons, fabric drapes, balloons, paper props, etc.

Avoid power cables, electrical equipment, and pedestrian walkways to prevent sparks from falling into hazardous areas.

It is recommended that audiences, performers, and equipment maintain a safe distance of at least 2 meters from the fountains.

The ignition ground should be a hard, flat surface. If carpet is present, it must be thoroughly wetted in advance or protected with a fireproof barrier such as asbestos board.

Installation and Wiring

1. Product Fixing (Preventing Toppling)

Place the cold sparkle fountain vertically at the predetermined ignition location. The base must be secured using brackets, specialized bases, or heavy objects to prevent the product from toppling due to reactive force during ejection. Toppling is the most common and dangerous cause of accidents with cold sparkle fountains. It is strictly forbidden to place the product directly on its side or rely solely on its own standing balance.

2. Electrical Connection (Electric Ignition Method)

Open flame ignition is strictly prohibited. Electric ignition must be used. For simultaneous use of multiple products, connect them in parallel: attach the electric igniter wires of each fountain to the main power lines. Each group of products is connected via one main power line to the controller or igniter. Ensure the igniter is powered off before wiring to prevent accidental triggering.

3. Handheld Operation (e.g., Stage Performance)

When using a handheld igniter, the operator must wear protective gloves. The spray direction must be away from themselves, companions, and the audience. It is strictly forbidden to aim at people or objects.

Ignition and Firing

1. Remote Ignition

Use an electric ignition device or a dedicated remote controller for remote ignition. Clear the area before ignition, and use verbal commands or hand signals to confirm that all personnel have withdrawn to a safe distance.

2. Ignition Operation

After power is applied, the product will immediately erupt. Once ignited, disconnect the ignition power immediately to prevent continuous short circuits that could damage the controller or power supply. The operator must also immediately retreat to a safe area.

3. Observation During Operation

Observe the fountain’s performance throughout, confirming that the spray height, duration, and direction are normal. It is strictly forbidden for anyone to approach or touch an operating fountain. Although called "cold spark," the ejected metal particles reach approximately 60–80°C (140–176°F), and the nozzle temperature is even higher, which can still burn skin or ignite flammable materials.

Post-Firing Procedures

1. Cooling Wait

After the fountain has finished, do not touch or retrieve the product immediately. Allow it to cool completely for about 5–10 minutes.

2. Ember Check and Cleanup

After confirming there are no embers, smoke, or residual heat, dispose of the product as general waste. If carpet or paper debris is present, re-check for any remaining sparks.

3. Malfunction (Dud) Handling (Important Safety Step)

If a product fails to ignite, only partially ejects, or ejects abnormally (a dud): Do not approach or attempt to re-ignite immediately. Maintain a safe distance and wait at least 15 minutes. Then, thoroughly soak the dud product with water. Only after confirming there are no remaining ignition sources or signs of heat may it be cleaned up and discarded.

Safety Red Lines (Prohibited Actions)
The following actions are strictly forbidden. Violations may lead to serious safety incidents:
❌ Do not use open flames such as lighters or matches for ignition.
❌ Do not ignite products without securing them.
❌ Do not aim at crowds, performers, props, fabric drapes, or low ceilings.
❌ Do not use indoors where ceiling height is less than 3 meters (ensure sufficient clearance for the spray height).
❌ Do not allow children to operate or approach the ignition area.
❌ Do not dispose of uncooled or dud products directly into trash bins.

Emergency Response Recommendations

Accidental fire: Immediately use a fire extinguisher (dry chemical or CO₂), cut off the power, and evacuate personnel.

Personnel burns: Immediately flush the burned area with cool running water for at least 10 minutes and seek medical treatment.

Dud product accidentally triggered before proper handling: Stay calm, quickly move away, allow it to burn out completely, and then follow the dud handling procedure above.
